With over 15 years’ experience working as a counsellor both privately and for the NHS, Sharon has developed a special interest in working with people with long-term or chronic illness, including life limiting illnesses, and working with carers. Sharon has worked in organisational and private hospital settings, GP surgeries and private practice.
Sharon also has extensive clinical experience working with people experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem and depression related to managing and coping with health issues and has undertaken further trainings in life coaching, motivational coaching and development, family systems therapy, bereavement counselling, and palliative care counselling.
Sharon actively takes part in her ongoing clinical development and values the input and feedback of other professionals into her work. She attends yearly continuing educational courses to keep current in her practice and is currently training to support and mentor other counsellors and therapists.
Sharon enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as taking time, where possible, to explore natural environments such as walking by the sea or the local countryside.
